I'm Not Fat, I'm Pregnant

I have reached another pregnancy milestone; a stranger asked me if I was pregnant! This may sound like a strange thing to celebrate, but up to a certain point, the only people you talk to about it are the friends and family who you’ve told and everyone else can’t tell if you’re with child or if you just finished an all you can eat buffet. So when a stranger feels comfortable enough to ask if you are pregnant, you can smile knowing you no longer look just a little bit fat, but are glowing in all your pregnancy belly glory. Well, instead of smile and glow when the poor gentleman said, “I am assuming you are pregnant”, I started fake crying and said “No, I’m just fat.” Luckily, the guy had a sense of humor and he still offered me a middle row CMR box in the mailroom so I won’t have to bend down to get our mail (the thoughtful reason he was asking about being pregnant in the first place). In the end, we both got a good laugh and I can smile knowing I look pregnant :)
